Calm Heart, Quiet Mind - Clearing the Effects of Trauma

We understand trauma as any wounding of the spirit. It can have a lasting impact on mood, sense of self, and self-worth. Traumatic events can leave us with overwhelming feelings of guilt, shame, anger, sadness and fear. Trauma can be ongoing or about a specific event. It is often hard to process the experience of trauma, which can lead to stress reactions or PTSD, especially when the fear of death or horror is involved.

Food as Medicine

In TCM, we consider food as medicine, and diet as one of the key factors in balancing health. It’s so basic, yet it’s often ignored. Grains are used to feed the body, and fruits, meats and vegetables aid in this effort. To maintain a healthy lifestyle, we need to balance and properly nourish our bodies. Like duh!

Six Degrees has found a new home!

And it's only two doors down from our current location.

Dear Six Degrees Community,

We have wonderful news! With growth comes change, and to stay flexible to this change, we've found a new home for Six Degrees. The new space is at 204 Spadina Ave., 2nd Floor --- just a few stores North from our current location.

Our new home is much bigger with multiple Individual Treatment Rooms, a larger Community Acupuncture Room, and a gorgeous, open space for Yoga and Meditation. There's tons of light and space for us to grow into.

Six Degrees turns Four this June!

And like any Four year old we want to tell you all about how big we’ve grown. How proud we are. What we love the most and who our best, best friends are.

These are all the great services we have. We’ve been working hard to develop a comprehensive health package for our clients. We try to make all our services as affordable as possible through a sliding fee scale.

It's Official: Lamia is Now on Parental Leave

It's official, Lamia is now on parental leave.  S/he would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and for continuing to come for Acupuncture at Six Degrees with the fine practitioners who are taking their time slots. Tuesday will mostly be covered by Jen with a few guest appearances from our newest acupuncturist Renee Pilgrim! Thursday and Friday shifts will be covered by Susanda. You are in good hands!
